My crazy sheep idea- All the animal crazy, all the time!

We are raising katahdin hair sheep for meat, to sell for breeding stock, and to sell at the sale barn. They taste pretty good! Just took more rams to the locker for butcher.

    Plush Lop!

I actually bought a few mini plush lops from one of the breeders in KY. I'm getting more this Spring. They are super soft and have a Holland Lop temperament. We love them!

    Mini Plush Lops

Good thinking. I've had Holland lops and I currently have mini Rex. They definitely have the Holland lop temperament. Did you advertise as lion lops?

Thanks for the advice! I hope I figure something out as to what I can do to make this type of rabbit unique!

    Mini Plush Lops

Hmmm...did not know that. They have the pedigree information. These are from the Devie D'anniballe herd. So 12 years of breeding to create what she was looking for.

__________ Wed Sep 21, 2016 4:15 pm __________

Is the velveteen lop more like an English lop? What's the...

    Mini Plush Lops

What is your take on mini plush lops? I recently bought a few and was planning on breeding them, but I am getting some people who are just rude when I mention them. Yes it's still a working progress. They are not recognized breed, but they are more for pets. They could have a chance I'm sure if...

If you could create your OWN breed ...

I recently obtained mini plush lops from a breeder in Kentucky. They are soooo sweet and soft. I'm looking in to getting a few more to breed them. Although they cost more than a regular rabbit they are worth it. I have had a few "haters" reminding me that they are worthless, but seriously who...

    Raising a chick question

Our hens went broody and I set a dozen eggs under the 2 of them. They protected those chicks right away and still do. They are 2 months old now. A few weeks they were following their moms in a chicken coop 4 ft off the ground. They were so cute!

    Time for a new vet

I always check to see who is working in the office the day I'll be taking my pets to the vet. This last time was enough for me. He was rude and snappy. That was until my dog got an infection from where he gave her a shot. Then he was the nicest guy in the world.
