Well I am just plane jealous. I have Texas A&M quail and if the rabbits do as well you will be very pleased. I have some quail that lay eggs the size of bantam chickens.

I would give her another try. I have had a couple of new mothers that did the exact same and then did excelent the second time around. I also use pine shavings in the nest box with hay on top. A bag is only around 5 bucks at Tractor Supply and last a long time.

I use a Buck knife with a gut hook for that procedure. My long knife is a black handle Rapala filet knife.

I feel your pain. I have only had 2 litters this fall and 5 out of 6 died one the first one. 3 that I thought were going to kindle did not. It must be a bad fall for raising rabbits! :cry:
