    Tans, Thriantas or Dutch?

Thanks for your input. Decided dutch markings are too difficult and I can't find much information on thriantas. Still love the idea of tans but I'm a little worried because a lot of people are saying they're too high strung. Thinking about getting a junior tan to try the breed out. Really...

    Tans, Thriantas or Dutch?

I've been raising Holland Lops for several years and have become very frustrated. Wanting to try a small breed that doesn't carry the dwarf gene and have narrowed it down to tans, thriantas or dutch. Anyone experienced with breeding these, please tell me what you like/don't like about them...

Urgent- Doe with something protruding after birth

Update: We were able to pull a fourth kit, fully formed (dead of course) and the doe is jumping around her cage, eating and drinking. Hopefully the swelling will go down and she will recover, never to be bred again. Should I give her an antibiotic?

Urgent- Doe with something protruding after birth

Okay, here's the picture. We will try the oil. We've dealt with stuck kits before but never like this!

Urgent- Doe with something protruding after birth

New development, as we were taking pictures, she started pushing and a foot appeared and then disappeared! It's either the bottom half of the chewed kit or a fourth kit stuck. I assumed she ate half of the kit earlier, but maybe she chewed through it and the other half is still inside. Sorry, I...

Urgent- Doe with something protruding after birth

First time holland lop doe kindled this morning, found 1 live and 1 dead in nest box and one with the lower half of it's body gone, bloody and chewed on the wire. My guess is she gave birth to the live kit, the second got stuck and she chewed it loose and the last kit suffocated during...

Watering system PVC schedule#40 pics. Beginning to end.

Thanks for your help Grumpy, I won't bother with heat cables, sounds like they have a lot of potential problems and they're expensive. I will tell my husband your troubleshooting suggestions, thanks!

Watering system PVC schedule#40 pics. Beginning to end.

Grumpy, I'm switching my edstrom flexible tube system to pvc so I can heat it and NOT have to deal with frozen water bowls again next winter, but I have a few questions. Which do you think would use less electricity, the heat cables or the recirculating pump/heater system? Have you ever had a...

Hay rack from scrap cage wire tutorial

Very nice Lastfling, thanks for sharing. I'm trying to decide whether to build or buy some more cages. So far, unless I can find cheaper wire, it's about the same price to buy cages from a local cage builder.

    Fire-man

Fire-man, thanks for the pics, will look for used screens since it appears to be pricey to buy the parts to build them myself. Your worm harvester is AWESOME! You are so creative. Do you have a website so we can see all of your inventions in one spot for drooling, I mean, inspiration? :) Thank...

    Fire-man

LOVE your set up! I bought a bunch of heavy duty fiberglass screen last year with the intent of making something that would catch poop and let the urine fall through, just like your set up, but haven't been able to decide the best way to build the frames and how to mount them. I was thinking...
