Pellets ?

I feed less and aim for it to be cleaned up by the next feeding. With growouts I like full fed, but humidty will spoil the feed in a day. It gets hung up when it swells and they are without feed. It isn't worth feeding swelled pellets to growouts.

    How pure is your poop?

    I believe that is mold.

How many kits in one cage

My pens are 24'' x 30'' for NZW. Which is pretty tight. When growing out I put in 3-5 per pen, never more. If you have drop pans, which I have, they fill up quick when they go in one spot. Four to a pen is my preferred amount for good growth, and not an overly full pan 2x a week. They are...

    Looking for feed opinion

Wow, 7lbs at 10 weeks, those are impressively big.

How many does needed to feed your family?

That is a pretty handy calculator. Did you make it up? Thanks for sharing.

Now is the time to sell your "bunny berries"!

I have sold out, over 100 bags last month. Currently saving up for a 50 bag order, and then a truckload order after that. So I know where my poo is going for a while. Suddenly I don't mind the feed bill as much.

    Bad Feed Once Again.

I just had returned 2 bags of Manna Pro Gro that had clumps in them. I wasn't taking any chances. If I hadn't read this thread last year and the deal with Grumpy, I probly would have removed the clumps and fed the rest. I've been feeding that brand for a year and never saw clumps before. The...

Now is the time to sell your "bunny berries"!

    4 bags for $10, or $3 a piece.

__________ Sun Feb 21, 2016 8:03 pm __________

Been selling manure decent here of late. 28 bags last week and 32 this week. Pile is getting small. Much better than last year already, and its still February. Thanks for giving me the...

    Fodder growing too slowly?

I would say your temp is the issue. 55-60 degrees is cool, closer to 70 will grow a lot better. Light won't really have much of an impact on growth. Light will make it green though. What is your depth? Should only be about 1/2" deep seed bed. I had good results when I did grow it, after...

Pedigree rabbits in South Central PA ?

Was wondering if you made it to the convention then, REDMIST. I was there this morning and was blown away with all the rabbits. A little oversaturated with rabbits. First time there, it seemed jumbled to me. It would be nicer if it was more breed specific in areas, but understand rabbitries...

    How pure is your poop?

I would say mine is about 95% berry. I feed hay from a feeder mounted on the outside. So that hay is right in the front of tray, which I grab out with my hand and get most of it. The worst is from does pre-nesting, then its all over the tray. Even then when I scrape the tray out, it balls up...

Now is the time to sell your "bunny berries"!

Oh yeah, I forgot the several scam attempts I had to deal with. They were similar to each other, in that they wanted me to immediately remove the ad, which they would pay me to do. Then of course they couldn't come and get it right away, but they would send me a certified check for the manure...

    How Perishable is Calf Mana?

While a typical pellet feed has a 3 month shelf life, the Calf Manna Pellet supplement has a 1 year shelf life. Pretty sure I read that on their site. I used it for several months and did not notice enough results to continue use. Sounds great, but weight gains were very similar to before the...

Now is the time to sell your "bunny berries"!

MSD, I just copied some of your ad to put my own ad up on craigslist. I thank you for sharing. In the past I sell by the truckload, but wanted to try this time selling it bagged for small money. It is maybe a tad late in the season, but you wouldn't know with this weather. I just had my...

    Does Straw Mold?

Straw molds when wet. If its oat straw it will repel a little. But when moisture gets on the bale it goes down in and don't take long to mold. I had a bale of wheat straw left it one rain on purpose and was quite moldy very quickly when opened. But that was good for me as I wanted mold for...

What type of rabbit do you recommend?

Flemish Giants aren't necessarily the most meaty cause they're big. New Zealands and Californians are probly the most common commercially grown rabbits for meat. Both which have good bone to meat ratio's. I raise NZW's.

Do you count the day she's bred or not?

I do just like Rainey, if bred in morning. Once in awhile if a doe is stubborn and I have to breed in evening then I push it back a day. Not a biggie, almost always day 31-32 for me.

    And the quest continues...

I use Manna Pro Pro, and Mana Pro Gro and find it very good about fines. Now with that said last week I got a bag of Gro that was left over from the week before it was taped at the top. I didn't take it the first time cause you just don't know how much spilled out, and for $20 I want every...

Pinched hips, how early can you identify this?

Anyone got a pic of a 8week old with pinched hips? Can't remember if that's the V shaped hind legs when you pick them up by the scruff.

    Rabbit transport

I have visited the website several times before. Wish I was on your route, cause I'm looking for some new good blood. Do you have a good market for meat rabbits, that your willing to make the long travel?
