Bad Feed

Our feed used to be pretty good. We fed the artisan blend which had yucca extract to help with the amonia. Our feed store got the wrong kind of feed so we wnt back to the ragualar. Then we got the old stuff back and started feeding it with a little bit of wheatgerm oil. My does aren't breeding...

    Goat in a rabbit cage

Yeah they do I had one incident where my goat that later won grand champion (much to my despair) jumped on top of my rabbit cage and would not get off resulting in the rabbit cage on the ground, angry person, and mischevious goat. It is funny now though

Anyone care to critique a bunny?

Yeah that is a great little dwarf! I had something similar happen except they didn't even take my doe out of her coop, so I am in the same boat. I wish I could come to Cour D' Alene but due to weather and all that my traveling buddy is a bit weary she says we'll see so I am crossing my fingers...

    What's cheaper...buying or making cages

If your fiance is a handy man I would go ahead and build them, but if your fiance is like my dad then I would buy the cages like from woodies wabbits.

    Rabbit droppings

We spread it before we mow out lawn. We get a trailer on our forewheeler (since we have a huge lawn but for a small one a cart or something would work) and shovel it out in small piles. We mow over our overgrown lawn and and it spreads the maure around the lawn making it grow more.

    Question on breeding a broken.

I would breed to the Cali buck. Just a thought because then you don't have such a dominint gene like REW in the litter.

    Netherdlands Dwarf popples not peanuts

None of them are peanuts. One of the main characteristics is a peanut other than being small it the enlarged head and small body, and it would be very unlikely that one litter would all be peanuts. \

    What would you do??

The breeding age for dwarfs is about 6 months. Wait for this doe to grow. When you breed her only let the buck breed her once. When it gets close to their due date make sure you have vaseline or something for stuck kits just in case.

__________ Sun Dec 09, 2012 1:37 am __________<br...

Check her footpads just to make sure that they have the correct pigment. To help you out get the standard of perfection read it and especially familiarize yourself with the rabbits that you raise coloring. Chris Zemney told us to post a picture of a good netherland dwarf such as Coin Nelson...
