I start breeding between 4 1/2 and 5 months, as long as the doe is at least 8 lbs. I've bred bucks at 4 months in a pinch and the breedings take. This is, though, one subjects many breeders will disagree on.

My late chime in here...I like Klubertanz prices, but if you're putting in a large order, Bass will save you money. They have a flat rate shipping schedule and are much quicker at shipping out. Of course, if you are in MN, it may be much cheaper to go with Klubertanz. Why do I recall you saying...

If you use the scraps from the doors to build hay racks, then the waste is completly eliminated. ;)

I have close to 60 adult rabbits with several kits contained in a 600 sq. ft. enclosure. I use hydrated lime, rake it at least once a week, and use pine shavings in my stackers (cleaned at least 2x per week) and never have an odor. I have a friend that has been coming down and helping me out...

They're cute and they're fun but they are a bear to get bred. Have you ever been to a rabbit show??? The HL's take forever (not near as long as rex, but still...). I really wanted my kids to stick with Polish or ND or Dutch. Noooo. Two of them insisted on HL. They are sweet though.

I have a satin I've been trying to breed since September...ugh. I add ACV to the water at a TBL per gallon, but I've heard 2 is good too. I would add anywhere between 1/2 and 1 TBL to a 2 liter bottle. I have noticed a huge improvement in my all of my does' receptivness. I also use lights...
