I have a litter of 9 NZ whites....they are just like there mother. She at times will dig out her pellets from her feeder....now the babies are doing the same...BIG TIME!! She has been a good mother but I am ready to get rid of her because of this and she seems to pass it on. Rambling...

Got an NZ doe to breed for the first time 3 days ago and today she has a watery/bloody discharge showing,,,,could she have aborted?? She seems to be eating good. If so...when could I rebreed??

I am in N. Illinois and wondered what might be the earliest time, to breed a rabbit in the spring, and have a successful litter?? The rabbits are outside in hutchs that are covered on about 3 1/2 sides with plastic. I was thinking of maybe mid Feb. But would like to hear any opinions...

Went out to see the bunnies and give them some blackberry leaves...and relax after work. Opened the door and had 4 little ones drop to the ground and run in every direction!! I'm sure I'm not the first to have this happen .......but I'll be opening the pen door much more carefully from here...

I read that it is good to treat water when babies are transitioning from mothers milk to solid food to help prevent diareha/scours. Is this worth doing????

Babies are 11 days old today and don't seem close to opening there eyes. There dosen't seem to be any sign of sores or infection. Just everything I have read was to expect there eyes to open the 10th or 11th day. Anything I should do....or just sit tight?? Thanks for any advice!!

I have the rabbits and my wife is just getting started with homing pigeons. Here are the first 2 we got at a game bird swap this past weekend. She also has a few more lined up to get from a local pigeon racing club. I like the pigeons too!!....but would rather eat the rabbits!! :)
