Today the cats spotted a large mouse/small rat (it was diving for cover when I saw it). Given the fact that it was under the couch which was surrounded by five extremely alert cats, I doubt it survived the day.

I'm wondering - do you suppose it could have travelled in the 40 pound unopened bag of alfalfa that was put in the rabbit room yesterday? Is that possible or would it run out of air too quickly? Otherwise I figure he was outdoors and foolishly came indoors in search of goodies.

I LOVE my five cats! Thanks to them, I never have to set a trap!

it's like I've learned to thoroughly appreciate our strays....excellent mousers! and the big one killed the rat.

I would love to have a good mouser or two for my garage and yard, but with DS13 and I both allergic. . . :(
