I thought there was a "How to warm up chilled kits" thread but I can't find it so shall give you my new fast way here.

Take a pillowcase and tip in about 2 cups of raw, dry rice.

Tie it shut and microwave it for one or two minutes. Shake it up really well so there are no hot spots.

You can press a hollow in the heated rice to put the chilled kit/kits into.

Just be careful to not get the rice too hot, warm to the hand but not stinging hot.

That's a really great trick, GBov, thank you for sharing! :)

I actually have one of those really giant rice hot-pads for my back and shoulders, I will definitely give it a whirl next time I find any chilled kits!

I have a hot wheat bag that i use with cold kits. 1 minute in the microwave and 10 minutes in my lap and I have warmed kits.
