There's a microchipping clinic coming up at the local humane society. I'm thinking of getting my rabbits done, but I'm worried that Dobby is too young, as he's only 10 weeks old. Should I get him done, or should I wait?

The chip is about the size of a grain of rice and is inserted with a large gauge needle. I would call a local veterinary office and ask what their age recommendations are for kittens or small breed dogs.

They chip much smaller things. The only size I've heard of a problem with is when I asked about microchipping a parakeet species. They also do puppies of toy breeds which are hardly bigger than a 10week rabbit of any breed.
