This plant is growing in my yard in large quantities. I'm hoping it is rabbit safe. Can anyone help me identify it? I'm clueless with plants. Thank you in advance.

I always have trouble working from photographs, but it looks like it might be Common Chickweed (Stellaria media). If so, it is good for humans and bunnies alike. It's a very common weed that is now coming into its own again as a foodstuff and medicinal.

Please note, however, that the name chickweed can refer to several different plants and I don't know much about the others. So be sure it is Stellaria media before using it. There are some close-ups in the links that should help.

I see what is likely a dandelion leaf over on the left, if so, that gives a good indication of the size, and I'd agree that it's chickweed and safe. You might take some to your extension office and ask. It's their job to ID stuff (among other things). Or find a gardener in your area.

oh...chickweed pulls up REAL easy, so if you have to pull and pull or dig it out...it's something else. (at least it always has in my experience. I suppose Georgia could have tougher ground ;) )

I'm sorry for the photo quality. My camera wouldn't take a clear close up.

Thank you for the links, Maggie. It is chickweed. The bunnies now have a new food source. I believe our honeysuckle is coming in as well so even more greens.
