In my does last litter she had two non typical chestnut colored agoutis. I've never seen her produce any others like it and they are so identical that the question occured to me whether they could be twins. Does anyone know if this happens with rabbits?

It can happen in any species that litters! One egg will 'split' creating identical twins who actually share the same amniotic sack. saw in this a couple litters of pups, where there was evidence that one had been 'sucking' the other's ear.

Thanks. I think that's what must have happened. They look like they were poured out of the same mold. They are too young to sex yet.

That's kind of cool! I've wondered about that sometimes myself.

I think its possible even though we proly wont ever know but Ive wondered the same with some of mine lol
