I don't think Beach Bunny is concerned with the legality of breeding the rabbit. It is a question of personal ethics and also, perhaps, one's reputation in the rabbit world.

Why would your reputation be challenged for breeding an "older" Rabbit/Doe?
The idea of a particular rabbit being too old to be bread is an assumption.
Just as Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so is the assumption
of "Old AGE". As always, JMPO.
Ottersatin. :eek:ldtimer:

I was thinking more along the lines of going against the breeder's wish that the rabbit not be bred, due to her age. If one broke one's word on this, one's reputation would certainly suffer.

Yes MaggieJ i do not wish to burn bridges :)

The breeder would have given me the doe for free ( still have not heard back from her )but even though i do agree with Ottersatin that once something changes hands it's out of your hands I do not wish to gain any bad press by saying one thing and doing another.I'd like to start on the right foot even though i'm left handed :D
it will just take me a little longer to get started and gained so more knowledge in the process.I do admire Ottersatins fire ! I'm just an ember ...oooooooo thats a good doe name Ember
