Hello From Tennessee!
Hi everyone!
Wanted to say a quick hello. We are California transplants currently living in rural Tennessee. The husband and I just started our journey with raising meat rabbit about a week ago. Got our cages set up and got our rabbits settled in (3 white New Zealand's - 1 does and 2 bucks, and 1 male Holland Lop as a pet for our daughter). Found this lovely forum through a Google search and love all the useful information on it so far. We're extremely new to the world of rabbits, so any and all advice is greatly welcomed!

Hi
I'm walking the same road - and I'll tell you what people told me. Watch and read as much as you can and use common sense.
Apart from this forum I've also found some Youtube content that was very helpful.
Welcome and good luck!

Welcome to the site! I'm a green horn also. I second CO comment about looking here and youtube. Some times it's nice to see a video of what is being described.
Good choice on the move! Tennessee sounds really nice with all that's happening in California.

Re: Hello From Tennessee!
Hello from PA, my partner is a cali transplant, and I spent my early years out there, while my Dad was in the navy.
I can't help but think the little pet bun for the kiddo is a great idea.
We had a little velveteen lop as our bunny mascot when we first started. The kids and I adored her; even my grumpy ex husband liked her. She held such titles as "Human to Rabbit Relations Specialist" and "Official in Charge of Inspecting Produce." She taught us a lot about what it takes to keep rabbits happy and comfortable. <3
