Are Californian rabbits good for fur?

short answer, no

I have tanned the pelts "fur on"..
mature rabbits have tough enough hide,
and "good enough" fur for some projects..
coat liners, comforter ,bedspreads , etc..
But they are no comparison to "fur type" rabbits like Rex, Satin, Silver Fox, [sometimes Angora] , etc....
meat-mutt rabbits, a few laying hens.

I agree with Micheaels4gardens, For fur rabbits, Calis are a poorer choice. Great Meat though!
