I have dressed meat rabbits for year. For the first time found small white lumps in the rib cavity that looks like fat deposits. Has anyone had a similar experience

Did you mean that you have dressed rabbits for a year (one year) or that you've dressed them for years (many years) ?

I've never seen or heard of such a condition before. It sure doesn't sound normal. Was it just one rabbit, or several? Did you think to get pictures? Did you cut into one of the lumps to see what the interior was like? What size were the lumps? You said "small" but it would be more useful to have something else to compare them to. The size of a grain of barley? A pea? Or what?

Braves78, please add your location to your profile. Your state or province is enough if you live in the US or Canada; if elsewhere, list your country as well.

For questions like this, it is essential information--some parasites are common in certain locations but not in others and the same goes for certain diseases. Not saying this is either a parasite or a disease; those are examples only of why location matters.
