I have added a rabbit coat color calculator to my website.

http://colorgenetics.info/leporine-rabb ... alculator#

If you add to may inputs you will get a blank page. This is because it uses to much memory to do alot of inputs at one time. I haven't troubleshot the code to make it give a correct warning yet. So, for now, just understand if you enter alot of choices you will get a blank white page.

You have to enter a genotype and it gives the results in genotype. Not terribly user friendly unless you know your genotypes.

If you find an error please let me know.

Seal is aachlchl . The lack of the himi or rew gene does not let the body lighten enough to show the points and have that brown color. There is a possibility of various A* chl* and at* chl* combos that most don't really apply detailed names to. They are considered one of those major oopsies. I do still like the genotype chart and names here http://www.thenaturetrail.com/rabbit-ge ... pes-chart/

If you want to know what those colors look like

That was one of the things I was using for reference. They have cchl cchl as Seal and cchl- Sable regardless of the status at the Agouti Locus.

You all have not idea how hard it is for me to remember not to call the A-locus Agouti. In horses it is the "Agouti gene" which is the same as the A locus or ASIP gene in rabbits. Everytime I mention Agouti (meaning the gene) I confuse the heck out of rabbit people who only know Agouti as the color.

Hi , The contact button didn't seem to work on your website. Anyhow, I love the color calculator. I was wondering, if it is not complete, if you would consider adding choices for a Dominant allele, where the other allele is an unknown.. e.g., B_ , C_, etc. I gather this would result in both certain genotypes with their probabilities, but also it could show other possible genotypes that could confirm what the unknown allele is, should an offspring show up to matching it.

I am also wondering if you have any plans for the calculator to also indicate the phenotype or named color of the rabbit. That's what I was actually Googling when I found your site. I have all the possible genotypes figured out for two of my rabbits, but I'm looking for a way to know what colors those would translate to..

Thanks, and I was glad to see there is a genotype calculator out there.

I don't plan on making any changes to the calculator at this time. I don't have a terribly big server and adding the unknowns makes calculating the possibilities take longer and use more memory. To be honest, I haven't really added new content to the site in several years.
