A while back, I tried breeding my mostly Flemish, part Californian doe to an AMerican Blue/NZ/Flemish mix male. He was too rough and she fought him off. I had a tiny young velveteen lop male I needed to know was viable, so I stuck him in with her and she let him get three fall offs. For a while, I didn't know what to expect. The first male (Obi-Wan) did get two fall-offs, but he had never produced a litter before. Neither did my lop (Duchovny). I ended up with 11 little chestnut mutt creatures and one single chinchilla girl. We suspected Obi was the father since one of his parents was chinchilla, except now, all the babies lop! 6 weeks old and every single one of them has giant, floppy ears, Velveteen shape, and some have Duchovny's crazy bug-eyes. They even lay and relax in the same pose he does. Most lop to one side
I have no idea what to do with this litter... but this has been a fun experience. They're so polite, too. They just line right up single file and wait for feed instead of lose their everloving minds like the other buns do
