Alright so since it was added to netflix I decided to try watching that live-action remake and omg is it painful to watch. I mean, if I compare it to the animation it's fine I guess... but so much wrong x.x
Some of the changes they made to "their" original to make it closer to the true original like Maurice stealing that rose just doesn't mesh well in this context.
While I want to give Disney a chance.... If I only compared it to the animation it wouldnt be as bad I feel, but I watched Christophe Gans' (2014) Beauty and the beast and as far as "live action" and closer to the "original story" goes, it was done so much better in that movie. If you haven't seen that one definetly watch it, it's also on netflix.
