My rabbits ears started drooping 2 days ago. They don't show signs of any pain, swelling, redness, and are eating/drinking/acting normal. Is this the early stages of ear mites perhaps? I don't see any kind of build up on the inside of the ears as well. Thanks

I think it might have more to do with your temps in Eastern Texas. It looks like their ears are "wilting" do to the heat. Rabbits use their ears as radiators to cool off with. They don't pant like dogs.

yeah it just looks like summer ear to me. it's something with the heat and humidity that weakens the cartilage in the ears of younger rabbits and they'll flop down or droop at the tips. they'll usually perk back up as the rabbit gets older.
