Hi, I have a very nice orange Netherland Dwarf buck and I need to get a doe. Right now, I have a broken orange Jersey Wooly who looks more like an angora than a ND.. very strong and elongated features. If getting a "typey" orange doe is not yet possible, any suggestions as to what colors I should breed to eventually get a good doe? Thanks!

I'd go with chestnut, preferably with a tort or other non-extension colour parent

If you don't get orange in the first generation, breeding a daughter back to the sire should produce 50% orange based, but other colours are possible depending on recessive

Thanks. Here is my Orange.. and a Chestnut I have... do you think the Chestnut has the right coloring to get orange? In the meantime, I am on the lookout for an Orange doe or Red doe. Thanks again!
