Just got our first bunnies, they are pure breed but they are mentioned to be pets. Just out of curiosity can they be shown ? Or would they bee disqualified haha. One is a Netherlands dwarf(Alexander ) and the other is a Holland lop(nova). I have more pictures 9f Alexander because we have him , we have not picked up nova yet. He will be 8 weeks may 11 and Alexander is 6 months.

I see nothing that will outright disqualify them from showing. The main thing to worry about would be weight - the maximum weight for netherland dwarfs is 2 1/2 lbs, max weight for Holland lops is 4 lbs. Check the teeth, too - they should have an overbite. If they don't (if the teeth meet, or the bottom teeth are in front of the top teeth, that's a dq). The netherland dwarf's color would be black silver marten (which shows as just silver marten), the Holland lops color would be broken sable point (which shows as just broken). They don't like they will win against much competition though. The netherland dwarf should have a lot of width between the eyes, where Alexander's forehead is narrower. Often dwarf heads do fill out a bit as they age, though. The Holland lop's ear placement is off - the ears are a bit too long and placed too far back.
 
Competition is tough at rabbit shows and most breeders who show, know the difference between pet quality and show quality. The price for pet quality is usually much less for this reason. My pet quality rabbits usually are ranked that way as I feel they are not good enough to show or be bred. Perhaps their
feet toe out to much, or they lack muscle in the loin. They can have a lazy ear that won't stand when it should, or tips that are to thin. I never give out pedigrees (nor ear tattoos) with my pet quality rabbits for this reason. Then there are people that just breed rabbits to breed rabbits and you may not even know (without a pedigree) what breeds may be in your rabbits background. Still, they are judged on how they look, so you could still try to show them and see what a judge thinks. You will know in short order the good and not so good points in the rabbits you have.
 
Dewlaps are dqs. It looks like the one at least has, its hard for me distinguish diff buns just browsing quickly.

Netherlands are one of THE most competitive breeds. The show quality well bred stock runs 200 plus. Pets are sold as pets for good reasons, very cute though.
