Infected eye

Post Number:#1  Unread postby B George » Sat Mar 18, 2017 1:33 pm

I have a white new zealand with an eye injured by its mother.
It is out with infection dripping from the eye. Will it be OK to keep for meat? It is only one month old now,
I gave away the mother. She was too aggressive. I kept it isolated but I need to put others in the cage.
Will he survive another month with others and the infection not spread? Thanks

The infection will likely get worse without treatment and cause unnecessary pain to the bunny, culling might be the most humane option

For eye issues I use Terramycin. Big-R or Tractor Supply carry it in small tubes. Small dab on your finger rubbed off in the corner of their eye seams to work well.
