Ok, so technically the doe didn't lose the litter. She kindled 2 kits, one was DOA. Since I have another doe wit two kits, I fostered the single kit to her, so it has siblings.
Anyways, now know I either need to to dry up the doe's milk, or rebreed her. Since the only other time I could breed her would be in 8+ weeks, now would be better. This doe does love to have kits, she is such a good mom, so I think that's what I will do. My question is, how long do I give her a break before I rebreed her? Could I do it this weekend, or must the break be longer? I don't necessarily need kits from her, I'm just trying to do the right thing for her.

What's her body condition and was it an easy birth without any complications (ie internal tears or haemorrhaging) ?

If she is in good form and it was a routine birth, I'd breed now

She lost a slight bit of weight, but she's not that skinny. She'll get it back quickly, she tends to pick up weight easily.
She hardly bled at birth, it took under 15 minutes.
Thanks dood.
