Thank you for all the posts on here....
I will be doing my first processing myself with a mentor this week.

I really nervous, but have strong belief that I need to know how to do this.
I have done all types of poultry, but this will be my first furred critter.

The emotional aspect is the hardest part- the butchering is a piece of cake.

I think you will be pleasantly surprised by the lack of "slaughter odor" that you encounter with rabbits compared to poultry.

Good luck!

Hi All,

Not tryin' to steal a thread, so I started a new one on BUY, SELL, and TRADE about the skinning knives if anyone is interested.

@ Beach BC, glad to hear that there's more meaters out there! Good job on the first time, it's always the worst. You will only improve in skill from there, and though it rarely get easier emotionally, the skill will greatly improve as you go along.

Well that didn't take long! Thanks for stopping by PSF and letting everyone know about the knives!

See I told you guys she was very persuasive. They're really good people and knife making the right way is a labor intensive job.
