I'm preparing the cages for my first rabbits and find I'm not sure hot to attach the feeders.
This is the kind I have:
http://www.farmandfleet.com/products/26 ... eeder.html
The tray that goes inside the cage is about two inches high.
I can mount the feeder so the bottom of the feeder is more or less on the bottom of the cage, but I'm concerned that will be an area for droppings, etc, to get caught in.
Or, I could mount it so the bottom of the feeder is two inches off the bottom of the cage, but that will put the rabbits having to eat over a ledge four inches tall, and I'm concerned that may be too high (especially for the young ones.)
We're getting New Zealands. Cages are made out of 1" x 2" wire on the sides, 1/2" x 1" on the bottoms.
So, how high should I mount these feeders?
