Well, my neighbor's white pine has very resinous cones. I'd been hesitant to give them to angoras for fear of the cones gluing themselves into the rabbit's wool. Turns out half an hour in a low heat oven bakes the resin and it is no longer sticky....and yes, I am under selling those guys at $1 a cone with shower-hook included.
 
I just started giving them to my herd a few weeks ago - the first time they literally threw it back at me :lol:

I have a doe with a nest full of hair. She put it perfectly in the middle of it. Looked like a child playing with a baby doll or something..

I will say the nibbled off ones are getting wrapped in hair, more than once I thought it was a dead baby in the hutch!
