I was going to show my Mini Rex Buck this week, but for some reason he just started pulling the fur on his back.
I read that it could be because he is scared or nervous about something, he is trying to build a nest for colder weather (which I highly doubt, it's still way to hot), or he has some type of fly. I'm not going to show him this week due to this, I just want to know how I should handle the situation.

Maybe nerves, but are you sure he's a male? Females sometimes pull wool if they are hormonal. Perhaps you could dust his fur with DE in case there's a mite problem.

Yes, I am 100% sure he's a buck. I've used him to breed my doe before. And I'll check out the mite problem to see if he has it.

The DE( diatomaceous earth) certainly couldn't hurt.

I was also thinking, maybe he is caged next to a pregnant female, or one who has recently kindled? There have been a few reports of bucks that were nestbuilding helpers. :)
