First question:
Would you say a youngster that holds onto her coat longer than her siblings is likely to continue to hold onto it longer between molts as an adult? My Pyrite is 15 weeks old and hasn't shed out her baby wool yet, but her 3 siblings have all begun 2 weeks ago.

Second question:
Do shaggier nestlings tend to grow into a better coat? :?

lol Thanks. I want to breed her in the fall to make some chocolate sables.

This lilac tort buck has been the shaggiest since they grew fur...I'm assuming the shagginess is a good sign, but he's also huge, and I'm wondering if he'll be worth keeping around. :?

I'd say sable point. :D I don't know whether blue or black, though.

I have definitely noticed kits that keep their coat longer will have a tendency to continue with that pattern. I take notice of shaggier kits, too. However, two of my shaggiest kits from a recent batch did not end up with denser wool. They did, however grow wool slightly faster.
