Hello everybunny,
One of my colony does, Nina, is probably the worst breeder we ever had. It takes her ages to accept the buck, never saw her lifting to a buck and when the mating actually happeneds, she goes crazy and runs around. On top of all that, about 1 month ago, halfway through her pregnancy, she built a nest in a corner of the colony. At first it confused me, but after a little research I saw many does go through "false pregnancies". But it wasn't false pregnancy.
It all would be OK if I didn't rebreed Nina and Petunia yesterday and guess what. Nina is building a nest like crazy. There is absolutely no way she is already pregnant and I don't know why this happeneds. She mated three times so it's likely that she is pregnant.
She never displayed this kind of behaviour while not pregnant. Does this happened to other? Is there something I do wrong?
Thanks in advance, -Marko
