Thanks WhW!!! This is my biggest litter yet. I talked to the breeder who I got both sure and dam from (they are not related. She is from a different rabbitry, but was bought by someone else and then sold to me) said that she keeps having bigger and bigger litters because that's what happened to the does in his lines. She said that the sire is from a litter of 11 and his mom from a litter of 13, with all kits surviving and no foster.

I'm almost afraid to breed her again.... :x

Ok, who's ready for the 2 week update.. stinkin' cuteness! Ahhhhh! How am I ever going to let these buggers go?!

__________ Fri May 22, 2015 7:44 pm __________

And the last kit who didn't fit into the last post... the little lop earred one.

Yes, TF3, a wee surprise in the nest.
I call that wee fella the ugly duckling because out of a litter of solids, there lay the wee patchy fella. It took a wee bit of growing for me to learn to love the wee guys patterns. Those different colored ears are what made me grow attached to him :3

Magpie

I'm so excited about this litter...I'm posting it before it's even here. She has a little buldge, and there has definitely been some nesting behavior..
:D :D

That big pretty (and sadly still nameless) squirrel doe is carrying her first litter to my magpie buck. Fingers crossed for magpie colored meat-mutt kits.

And the pure harli kits are still pretty. They don't change much at this age, so I guess they are less interesting to update on.
I re-bred that doe to the same buck because she was chin rubbing all over me.
I've been experimenting with feeding these guys more forage.
So far, the magpie buck eats mainly forage now, and everyone here is doing well with some greens in their diet, including my current kits.

First thought was "Flipper" for that dolphin-coloured doe :D

This is my last litter, now 26 days old. They get mostly forage, and some cooked potatoes and pellets because they have to face beeing weaned soon.

My little brown runt is doing fine, cathing up, and the red-white big sister is a charm :)

She kinda looks like a "Jenny" to me :)

I agree. She definitely looks like one. :)
Hmm.

Not 100% comfortable with the name though, since I have a cousin Jen and an aunt "Penny" already...

I have an aunt Penni too! Ok, scratch Jenny.... "Looks at picture again" how about Daisy?
