Large white grubs were found in the soil under my rabbit cages eating all the droppings. These things are efficient too! What is left from them feeding looks kind of like a nice casting and I am tempted to use it in my garden.

Do any of you know what they are? I will try and post a picture soon. They are about 1-1.5" long and a little thicker than a pencil.

I would certainly use any castings in your garden, but be careful about introducing the grubs themselves into your garden. They may be the type that will eat up your veggies from the roots up.

Large white grub with a light rusty tan colored head?
If so, common grub worm, larvae of a June bug.

Japanese beetle larva are one of the few creatures in nature that trigger revulsion for me. Don't know why, as I have nothing personal against them. It's just that curled body shape.

I find black soldier fly larva in and around my compost area. They are great to have. :)
