Ok, so trying to figure this out....

Doe is a Harliquenized Castor out of a Tri doe x Self Black buck
Buck is a sibling, a lightly marked Harli

Kits are Broken Castor, Harlie x 3, Magpie and what I *think* is either a Seal or a Self Chin but I am not sure.

Based purely on genotype, what does this tell me about these rabbits and what they may or may not be hiding? Is the one kit either Seal or Self Chin?

Doe - Aa B_ C_ D_ Eej

Buck - Aa B_ C_ D_ eje
Buck - Aa B_ C_ D_ ee ENen

One of the parents must be broken, it cannot be secretly carried, and it is likely the Vienna gene causing the white in the broken castor.

On the parents C-locus one (or both) must have chinchilla and the other must have a recessive - chinchilla (cchd) shaded (cchl) himilayan (ch) or REW (c)

BUT

I think you do have a shaded magpie so one carries this recessive and the other parent carries shaded or himi or REW

Seal - aa B_ cchl cchl D_ E_ and self chin - aa B_ cchd_ D_ E_ are both possible from this buck and doe

Dood, I totally zoned out on the one Broken kit, of course. SOOOO, that means the daddy is NOT the Harli buck, but the Broken Red sibling..... so, with that in mind...:)

Litters can have 2 (or more) fathers :( so the harli could be the father of some

I'm not sure why you think the kit is a self chin and not a self black? The two are indistinguishable except self chin eyes tend to be greyish

If the kit is brownish then I would suspect seal but rex fur is tricky

Yep, I guess there could be more than one dad, but I went back and looked and the Harli was removed before he could have been the daddy.

The one kit doesn't look like a Self Black in person, it is more brownish, but not chocolate at all. Someone suggested Self Chin, since obviously there is some chin somewhere in there because of the Magpie....

To get a seal both parents must carry shaded and since they are siblings this is more possible than in unrelated rabbits

Were there any seals, sables or sable points in their parents prior litters?

Could you test breed to a REW or himilayan/Californian ?
