My older daughter, Christine, was given a shot of petocin (oxytocin) yesterday in an effort to stimulate labor. ( darn hospital WAS 'BOOKED UP' FOR THE SHOT NEEDED TO START THE EFFACEMENT OF THE CERVIX). As of last night, she had dilated to two cm--

I sure hope the kid has an easier time than I did--she is full term, but the inducement was decided on because of pain levels. 'Little' Madella is going to be a BIG baby ;)

take caer, everyone-- we had more of a four lettwer word last night-- YUCK!!!

Praying for a safe, easy delivery. Is this Christine's first baby? (Big babies aren't necessarily harder--I had three over 10lb, and they ended up being easier than my smaller ones.)
 
Well-- my cell phone was dead early this morning--or I would have known BEFORE 9 a.m.
seems little Madella arrived at 2:46 a.m., via emergency C-section.
9 lbs, 3 oz. 21 inches long!!!(my smallest was 9lbs 2.5 oz, 19 inches)

Madella is a biblical, family based name--My daughter's great grandmother was Madella Gae Bolton( don't know her maiden name)of Greenwood, S.Carolina

Needless to say, despite the gloomy weather here, I am BEAMING!!!
