This is so exciting! I just started plucking my rabbit today and I've harvested my first bit of wool!

It is a about 3 1/2 inches long. Is that good? He is a french angora and this is his first plucking.

I would upload a picture but my computer is being dumb.
 
I don't know anything about angora rabbits except how pretty they are! Just wanted to say :congratulations: on your first plucking! :)
 
Yeah, if it is a junior coat ... sometimes even the first adult coat molts out before it is at it's longest. Another way to know if the coat is ready to molt is if the comb/brush comes out with a LOT more fiber than usual. If you are only blowing the coat, you will actually see small locks of fiber blowing off the bun LOL
