one of our two bucks always throws his water dish around and will not drink from a bottle even his attached dish is attacked until it is empty. so in frustration I hooked his dish so high on the cage he has to go on nearly tip toe to get his nose in it. if he is sitting normally the bottom of the dish is about 4 inches over his back but it seems to work for us and he does not dump it and seems to get his fill of water. any one else have this problem it not a issue just kinda funny looking and his cage is a top opener I built so in fact it is easier for me to fill.
