I have 2 female and 1 male rabbit that we will be breeding in the Spring. Everyone seems happy and healthy but my male keeps shaking his head. I'm thinking ear mites? Is there something I can purchase to help out with this? Looking for advice as we are definite novices when it comes to rabbits. Thanks. ~~

have you looked inside his ear?

ear mites tend to be obvious...you'll see crusties inside the ear.

various ways to treat them the most commom being a mix of oil and iodine applied to the ear. :)

All very good ideas but,
all you really need is any type of oil.
I use a few drops of baby oil in each ear.
Massage the base of the ear so the oil gets down in there.
Do it again in three days to get any hatchlings.
The only problem with oil is:
When the rabbit shakes his/her head,
you get an oil shower.

Which is exactly what drove me to use the hoof spray. All it takes is a small spray shot in each ear, and there is little to no mess to deal with afterward. ;)
