Have a couple Rex does that are about 5 1/2 months old weighing 6.75 - 7 lbs. Would like to breed them in about a week when I breed an older doe back that has kits now, that way they would all be due around the same time. Are they ready to breed? or should I wait a few more weeks?
 
I've always been told to breed by weight because not all rabbits are automatically fully mature at 6 months. Some mature quickly while others slower, so if they make Senior weight for the breed I would go ahead and breed them.
