My new doe, Peppermint, finally had her babies - 34 days from first breeding. I haven't looked yet - it's still pretty chilly out there, but she made a good nest, lots of fluff and all covered up. The gal I bought her from said she bred her on three consecutive days - I'm thinking she didn't take on the first one. Is that a good conclusion, with the length of time to kindle? I was just about to give up - no nest building up to last night, but she was huge - I couldn't believe she wasn't pregnant. Sooo, I'm a very happy gmom!

Hard to say. She may have conceived from the later breeding or she could just have been late. The 31 day rule is just a guideline.
