Antibiotics to pregnant or nursing doe?

I can't think the antibiotics would do anything good for the fetuses. And many antibiotics upset the rabbit GI tract anyway. I would never medicate a pregnant rabbit unless it was a life-threatening situation.
 
as a routine? nope

if needed I have personally not had a problem - but I do the shortest course possible if and only if essential
 
yah she ws told the antibiotics would kill the babies - which I still don't get .. if you NEED them they are ok (IME) but if you don't need them I wouldn't touch em ;)
 
I don't think antibiotics would be a problem to the babies. If the doe was just bred it might cause some problems. I stay away from antibiotics as much as I can, not because I am against them (I think they are great) but because the overuse of them is making some really nasty germs immune.
