Hi MC,

In other forums I have been on there is a limit to the size and density of any photos directly attached. 100KB is common, as to not overwhelm the storage capacity of the server. I did not notice any size limits in the tutorial, forgive me if i missed it some place. Are there size limits? If so can you give us the details?

Thank you.

Yep, the limits for individual attachments and for gallery images are 2 Megabytes for file size, and max dimensions of 1920x1200 pixels.

Images attached in threads will be automatically resized, with the full sized image linked to it.

I just tweaked a couple settings, so if you were having trouble with it before, please try it again now.

Thanks.

Hey, that is great.... It was often a chore to get photos down to 100kb, and still show much detail.

Are you saying I DO NOT need a URL to post a photo- that it is stored here?

that's correct, Terry. You CAN post it here from another website, but you can also just upload from your computer. It's usually best to have them under, say, 900x700 ish just for those who view this forum on dialup, but.... And you can upload directly into your own album here, as well.

to put in a post, just go to the bottom of the post, and you'll see "attach". follow instructions to upload from your computer, then hit the "put inline" button.

I tried to upload pics and they are always too big. Without painfully cropping them in a paint program, how do I make my pics small enough to post them?

How big are they, Jessykah? Doesn't Paint have a resizing option like that in Photoshop?

Depending on the image you're working with, resizing is often a better option than cropping. If you post which application you're using to edit your pictures, I'll try to point you in the right direction.
