I'd like to make an avatar for another group I am on-- but it requires linking to another site--can I link to something I put in my album? And I need it to be my avatar for here, too-- cuz I think its about time!!!

You can put your avatar in a folder at picasa.com which offers free storage. Then you can link to it there.

That's what I do with most of my pictures.

For this Rabbittalk forum I think you can upload your avatar directly to the site.

Franco hit the nail on the head I use Photobucket.com for most of my online pictures (it's free, too) Picasa site is great, also. There are a couple of others. Those sites also offer an editing function..color, resizing, etc.

You CAN upload pictures directly to this site, as well. You have your own personal album available to you. (in the gallery) and you can upload images there.

Photobucket causes problems for a lot of people, myself included. I can only view maybe 1 in 10 images hosted there, the rest just don't load, for whatever reason.

http://imgur.com/ is about as easy as it gets. You don't need to sign up, just upload the image and copy the link it gives you (you want the direct link to image).

I never heard of Photobucket causing problems... I host everything outside of RT and my blog there. Hmmm... I'll have to look into it.
