Hi all,

I've just updated the bridge plugin, which integrates the forums and blogs, and keeps you logged in on both. It would be a huge help if some of you could give it a workover and let me know if there are any issues.

Things the bridge should do:

1. When logging into the forum, you should be automatically logged into the blogs.
2. When logging into the blogs, you should be automatically logged into the forum.
3. When logging out of either, you should be automatically logged out of the other.
4. When logging out of the forum while you also have the WordPress Dashboard open, it should NOT kick you out, but it will log you out when you return to the front end of your blog.

How to test:

1. Log out manually from the forum, then visit the blogs and if necessary log out manually from there too.
2. Close the tab/window and then re-launch it, and come back to the site.
3. Log in on either the forum or blogs, and then go to the other and see if you're logged in.
4. Log out from either the forum or blogs, and then go to the other and see if you're logged out.

You could also do this by having two tabs open, one with each the forums and blogs, and just refreshing the one that you didn't use to log in or out.

If this all seems confusing, then the best thing you could do to help is just use your blog normally a bit, and report back if you have any difficulties.

okay. I went from RT to my blog. I was logged in.
I logged out of blog, and came back to RT, needed to log in again
I logged out of RT, closed down Firefox and started up Chrome (no cookies there since I've never logged in here using it) and needed to log in to RT.
Once logged into RT, I opened a new tab to blog (was logged in when I got there) and opened the dashboard. I closed the RT tab, and was able to continue with the blog editing. well...the dashboard stayed open.

so...sounds like that's what you want to happen?

Sounds like it's working perfectly, thanks! Could use a couple more people to verify that. We're getting close to releasing this plugin.

I got this message when I set up a new blog:

Warning: There is a problem with the Bridge Wordpress settings. You can go on using your blog, but please report this to an administrator, they will know what to do.

It seems very confident in you!

I logged out of both.
Closed the tabs.
Opened a new window with two tabs.
Logged into RT, and I was logged in on my blog.
Logged out of my blog, and I was logged out of RT.

Looks like all is working smoothly right now!

Hmmn must just be me, some thing to do with being new...I'll pm midnightcoder.

Thanks for the bug report, eco2pia. It's a huge help. Luckily this is an easily fixable bug, and will be addressed before release.

Glad to hear no one else had any issues. Thanks to all that tested/reported back.
