So I have noticed that when I go out to my rabbits pen the tips of his ears are wet. Do you guys think that is his way of cooling off or do his ears just get we when he drinks?

When my Lops were hot they would lay with their ears in the water bowl all the time.

I don't know how hot it is there just yet, but either way, keep your eyes on his ears where they keep getting wet. If they stay wet too much, he may get a fungal condition on his skin. It's treatable, but :x .
I have one Rex who has a bowl instead of a bottle, just because he liked sitting with his forehead under the nozzle. It would drip now and again. His fur got icky and started falling out in the area. No more bottle for him!
