I have a pet bunny I got from the shelter. She hates to have her feet touched and needs her nails trimmed. Anyone have some advice?
I've worked pretty hard to gain her trust -- and don't feel good about forcing her into a place she is phobic about. She won't let me pick her up.
She loves cuddling with me. Once or twice I have managed to trim a nail or two when she has fallen asleep near me.
There are just limits to how far she trusts me.
I have thought about getting/making for her a toy that would wear down her nails as she scratches at it. Anyone ever hear of something like that?
