My dogs ate about 3 boxes of tissues last night...I have tissues ankle deep all over the house...rare for them but they have their moments...

Our newish car (ok it's three years old which I was shocked to realize) while we were driving in the rain last night...had our tire pressure sensors go off, than our traction system went off and stopped working, and than the hybrid engine decided it was also not working. It's at the dealership...it's 'my' car that DH takes to work because it's cheaper than driving the F250 (which I can't drive)

I put my back out

And one of the rabbits in my newly DE'd and bleached and cleaned and oiled rabbitry that had no evidence of mites...has a bald spot.

I want to take a flamethrower to the building.

Or have a margarita......lol

Sorry you've had such a rough day! It just piles on sometimes, doesn't it?

The bald spot doesn't necessarily mean mites all by itself. Even a small bald spot with a scab doesn't mean mites. They can take fur off on the corner of a feeder or something, and they can take fur and a little skin off as well. They can even have fur freeze to the feeder in winter, and pull it out that way.

The reason we all agreed it sounded like mites before was the combination of thinning fur, continuing the next day with much more fur loss, and scabbing, along with the location -- classic presentation of fur mites is on the back of the head, between the ears, just like that bun had. Sometimes not, but that is usually where you see the balding first.

Hope that makes your day a little, wee, tiny bit better! :) (Just keep an eye on that bald spot.)

Don't forget that the DE requires reapplication to the rabbit, just like Ivermectin does.
