I raise Red New Zealand's. I have found that rabbits that meet show standards. Do very well for me. They are usually are good representation of the breed and standard. I usually have 10-11 week olds right at or a little above 5lbs.
Water garden shop look to water lily's. My friend has them in his pond and the fish and critters seem to like them. He does have to pull some out every year as they readily reproduce.
With my Red New Zealand's i keep the feeders at 4 inches off the floor. When little kits are out and about i just feed them with a small crock. When the kits start to jump out of the nest box. I just turn it on its side. Easy out easy in.
