    Fall leaves = winter fodder?

well I raked up 4 huge bags of mostly willow leaves and they love them I laid them out on newspaper to dry for 3 days with fans I turned them on the second day to even out drying. I mounted old bread pans in their pens as willow leaves are narrow and tend to slip threw the cages bottoms. Now I...

    Fall leaves = winter fodder?

I really though of this when I saw them gobbling up any stray leaves that fell in to their exercise yard, but ours avoid the oak leaves if they get any.

    Fall leaves = winter fodder?

I have gotten fantastic advice on here about naturally feeding our bunnies, we have gone from all pellets and hay to less than 1/3 pellets and they even leave some behind, I do not want to remove all pellets as I believe they 'fill in' the missing trace elements in their diets better than just...

    Australian WIllows Bunnies love them

nice thought can't take too many branches as I just totally pruned them all back as far as I wanted them. Will Weeping willow be OK as well as there are a few moderate sized ones around my studio on the border of the woods I could prune with a vengeance.

not so much a feeding choice as I did not have bunnies when I planted them just happy coincidence as it is getting in to fall would it be a good thing to strip a few bushels of leaves and lay them out on paper to dry?

    .177 Cal?

When you put down a rabbit you are actually at point blank range to the head. as the .22 pellet is bigger it will have more kinetic energy than the lighter .177 still a target pellet is not made to penetrate and is flat on the top to cut a noticeable ring out of a paper target, but since the...

    .177 Cal?

faster shooting is not the reason simply a easy way to shoot quick and less pumping, pull down barrel, put in pellet, and push up, fast and easy. when I get the wild buns in my garden I sometimes need a finisher so quick reload while walking to the bun is nice.

    .177 Cal?

we use a .177 cal break barrel pellet gun rated for 1100fps anything over 800fps will dispatch a small dog let alone a rabbit instantly and painlessly I have had to use it on a dog once who was severely injured by a car. Only use a heavy pellet called a magnum or 'hunting load' avoid target...

    weird placement for water dish

one of our two bucks always throws his water dish around and will not drink from a bottle even his attached dish is attacked until it is empty. so in frustration I hooked his dish so high on the cage he has to go on nearly tip toe to get his nose in it. if he is sitting normally the bottom of...
