How many of my babies will be wooly?

They were in a box from birth to 17 days and then I pulled it since their eyes were getting too crusty in it. In this picture they were out for a health check and mama decided to flop down next to them, don't worry! I'm very pleased with this doe, since the loss of our runt at 8 days we haven't...

At what age are coat types evident?

I've posted here previously about my 8 surprise babies. Mom and Dad are Dutch crosses, but somehow Mama is long haired all over. Statistically, half the kits should be long haired and half normal. I thought it would be evident who is fluffy around 3 weeks, but right now they are almost 3 weeks...

How many of my babies will be wooly?

Thanks! I'll check back in with this thread in a few weeks when you can tell which coat type they have, to see if the results line up statistically. How many of my babies will be wooly?

First time mom peed in nest box

Thank you for the advice. Despite our efforts, the little runt died tonight. I'm thankful that he was the only one struggling, and I'm excited to watch all the others grow and thrive.

First time mom peed in nest box

Everyone is doing well still except for the runt. They're now 8 days old and little Charlie is not taking milk anymore and hasn't gained any weight. At this point I've accepted that he probably won't make it, but is there anything additional I can do? I've grown so fond of this little baby, but...

First time mom peed in nest box

I recently acquired a mixed breed wooly rabbit from a friend of mine who neglected to brush him, leaving him matted all over. He stayed with his brother (not wooly) who apparently impregnated "him!" What my friend thought were boy parts were mats of hair... So Mama is about 8 months old with 9...
