When do you guys start tattooing your rabbits? Also how do you determine what the tattoo will read? Thanks for the help!

Something I've done introduce new does is put them in a cage on the ground in the colony for about a week, I keep them where the other does can get used to them and then after a week or two I let them loose

They are in a colony and I didn't start seeing the chewing until the doe kindled, ill try seperating but I was wondering maybe it could be a lacking in something?

I just had a doe kindle on saturday so now I have 7 new bunnies, and today was so cold when I went to check on them the the vary top layer of fur had formed ice from the mosture of the babies :P . On another note today I had two rabbits (not ones I am planning on keeping) who had vary badly...

I couldn't resist I know its says hunting but it also works for prossesing your own meat to :D

Ramjet I have to agree with you, I have also got Rex rabbits that the bunnies will get to 4 to 5 lbs by 8-10 weeks, my does range any where from 8-12 lbs as well as my average litter is from 6-12 bunnies, and like you said I also get she soft colorful fur, I like my rexs :D
